Five Questions Successful Wellness Doctors Must Ask Themselves

Today, I want to focus you on the remarkable opportunities for growth and expansion as you continue to turn your focus and attention of your practice toward wellness.

In 1946, the World Health Organization defined health this way…”Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Yet today almost everyone thinks that health is just the absence of symptom, which is sad, misleading and dangerous. We actually had to create a new word to better define health in today’s marketplace to set it apart from its current social blind spot. Instead of calling this new level of health “SuperHealth”…we called it wellness.

What really distinguishes wellness from health in today’s marketplace is that wellness requires deliberate action. You cannot sit around hoping to be well, you must take deliberate action. You must specifically work at your exercise program, eating healthy and taking supplements, getting regular bodywork, reducing or minimizing stress and making sure that your nervous system is functioning at a peak level, in a state of balance and with no interference as a result of your chiropractic adjustments.

Wellness requires us to be proactive, informed and disciplined. In case you haven’t noticed, wellness is where the world is going and in case you didn’t know; chiropractors started the wellness revolution.

So answer these questions:

1. Are you consistently taking deliberate action to become more well yourself

2. Are you educating, empowering and engaging your patients to do the same?

3. How can you transform your practice even more toward wellness in the days and weeks ahead?

4. Is the conversation in your office about wellness or symptoms most of the time?

5. Are you having new patients starting care in your office because they want more wellness?

Make a mental note of your answers, as a solution is requited for a successful transformation.
